WXC to announce Main Event for WXC 34 "Friday Night Fights"

WXC Heavyweight Champion Ray “The War Machine” Rocheleau and Michael “WOJO” Wojciechowski have not only agreed to meet at WXC 34 “Friday Night Fights”, but they will be crowned with biggest main event in the state status.

WXC officials confirmed the bout on Thursday and stated that it will be the main event on the card Co. headlined by Bantamweight champion Derrick “Give’em Hell” Mandell taking on CJ “I’m so Pretty” Proud.

Rocheleau steps back into action after taking over the position from Rob “The hooligan” Taylor over the weekend of WXC 29 “Victorious”, while Wojciechowski returns after a submission win over Indiana’s top heavy weight Thomas Duncan.

The bout between Rocheleau and Wojciechowski will take headlining status in the new season and year start on January 27^th in Southgate, MI.

6 women MMA fights are scheduled with 1 being the WXC ladies Bantamweight Champion (4-0) Katie Dihle from Alpena, MI. 6 more WXC championships are on the line as WXC introduces the Light Heavyweight belt between Mike Raffone (3-1) of Taylor, MI and James Carr (7-5) of Flint, MI. The belt was vacated by Lee Trombley back in December of 2010. WXC Welterweight Champion Tyler Pitock (13-8) of Carleton, MI will defend against Joey Hie (4-1) of Canada. The WXC Middleweight belt goes back on the line between Gary Conradson (11-3) of Monroe, MI and Adam Hie (5-2) of Canada since being vacated by Muhammad Abdullah as he joins the professional rank of WXC.

WXC 29: Victorious - Detroit saw REAL MMA!

Saturday, May 7th was a big night for Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting when they brought their action to downtown Detroit, Michigan. At one of the cities most recognized venues, Cobo Hall. From the very first fight down to the co-main events of the evening the action never stopped and never laid to rest the force behind this brand of Amatuer Mixed Martial Arts. Here is a recap of the fights that took place in the hallowed halls of Cobo.

            While there were so many magnificient match-ups throughout the event there are a handful of fights that made the event as spectacular as it was. One of these fights was a marvelous 5 round bout for the WXC Welterweight Championship between Champion 'The Teranchula" Dequan Townsend and Challenger Tom Grisham. These two fighters showed the fans heart and determination and how bad they both wanted the title of Welterweight Champion. Going the distance Tom Grisham managed to convince the judges that he was worthy to hold that title and won the bout by split decision (47-48,48-47,48-47) to become just that.

            The people that were sitting inside Cobo were also able to witness Mikey Flores defend his WXC Featherweight Championship against contender Jerome Otler. another fight that went the 5 round distance in order to determine who would walk away from the cage with the honor of being the title holder... in the end it was a very successful title defense as Flores won by unanimous decision. As the night went on more pure talent and ruthlessness of the fighters inside the cage, James Jones became interim Bantamweight Champion by defeating Jesse Bazzi by Arm Triangle Submission 1:48 into the 4th round of the bout securing a future title match between himself and Derrick Mandell.

            Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting also Crowned a new Heavyweight Champion when "The War Machine" Ray Rocheleau defeated Rob Taylor in what looked like and ended in a one sided unanimous judges decision (48-46,48-46,49-45). As well as WXC World Champion Kyle Lingg defeated Brad Brown by Rear Naked Choke submission at 1:53 in the first round.

            Throughout the night Team Tubbs managed to win 5 out of 5 fights going undefeated in downtown Detroit. The fight awards of the night were well deserved by those who received them. First award there is to tell you about would be the Submission of the Night award that was given to Christina Daniels as she caught Tori music in a Triangle choke to win at 1:56 in round one of their fight, which secured Daniels a shot at current Flyweight Champion Amber Ignatowski. Fight of the Night was a tough choice but in the end the Tom Grisham/Dequan Townsend match stole the show enough to take the award.

            Finally the award that was earned very early in the night inside the cage when Justin Price landed a left hook right on the button of his opponent Josh Palmer. This knockout had the whole place on their feet in astonishment. Why you ask? Because the crowd saw Josh Palmer sleeping standing as he fell to the mat and stayed there.

            In closing there is only one thing that I can say about this event. It wasn't the winners of these fights, the newly crowned champions, or even the king of this promotion Jeff Pitock but it was the people who filled the seats of this event who were really VICTORIOUS. Make sure you don't miss your chance to see the fighters of WXC when they come to a city near you, be there, because if you aren't you will really miss the best action inside the cage in the great state of Michigan. (PRESS RELEASE) -- Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting (WXC) continues its 2011 season Saturday May 7th at the Cobo Centers in Detroit Michigan, featuring a historic evening of 8 scheduled title fights, as WXC crowns its inaugural champions in its newly created Amateur World Champions Tour.

“WXC has been a longtime supporter of amateur MMA and we’ve invested heavily into developing future professional stars by featuring top amateur fights and fighters as forefront of our program,” said WXC President Jeff Pitock. “Now, we’re giving our amateur fighters something harder to compete for as they will be awarded with the recognition of being a top amateur champion in the world.”

Detroit’s Heavyweight bad boy and prospect of the year Ray “The War Machine” Rocheleau, a native of Monroe Michigan now living in Detroit Michigan attending Wayne State University, will take on current champion, heavy handed and well rounded fighter Rob “The Hooligan” Taylor, for the WXC Amateur World Heavyweight Championship title.

Tyler “Young Gunz” Pitock will take on WXC mainstay Dequan Townsend for the WXC Amateur World Welterweight Championship title.

In the 155 pound amateur division, Brad “The Bruiser” Brown will take on current champion Kyle Lingg; a fight that was supposed to happen in Westland Michigan is now set for the Main Stage in Detroit. More amateur championship fights will be announced soon on www.wxclive.com, including bouts in the Ladies and Men’s Bantamweight, Middleweight and Featherweight divisions.

Two days till the Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting (WXC) official weigh-ins and the upper portion of the card is stacked. Again WXC is continuing to keep the ladies division moving forward strong. This card WXC looks to releases the Ladies Flyweight Belt. Fighting for that belt is Toledo, Ohio’s Amber Ignatowski, Training out USA Martial Arts of Ohio, She is a tuff striker with no fear in her attack. She is just coming off a win from WXC26 “Night of Champions 2” over Kathleen Albany. That fight was Ignatowski’s second fight in the cage, but first with WXC. She won with a dominating TKO thirty seven seconds in the first round and advancing her record to 2-0.

Amber will face Ypsilanti, Michigan’s Christianna Daniels out of Scarred MMA of Bellville; she’s a skilled grappler with some mean leg kicks. She is coming out of her first win and fight that took place at a show further north. This is Daniels first fight with WXC and the pressure is on right out of the gate for this very tuff lady. WXC is aggressively pushing its ladies division and we have quite a few ladies looking to have there rain at the WXC gold, but between scheduling and injury these two ladies will set the pace for the WXC Ladies Flyweight division.

On to some other great title fights that you need to see for this Saturday night. We have the Bantamweight Champion Derrick Mandell putting the title on the line against Darral Humprey. Humprey (6-2) challenger from Flint, Michigan, took the qualifier over Shane Poole at WXC27 “FLAWLESS” and moved up the latter to face undefeated Mandell Champion. Mandell (4-0) off a successful defend against Matt Christipher at WXC26. Humphrey is a solid striker with a very aggressive fighting style brining a lot to Mandell’s front door. Mandell a very educated wrestler with a key eye in striking, with serious patients to wait out his opponent then take him down to a submission. One’s got give and the other’s got take this is going to be a fight to watch.

Moving on to the Featherweight championship we have Challenger Ohio’s Mikey “Hit the Flo” Flores and Detroit’s Champion Meech “The Problem” Graham. This is Graham’s first defend with his belt coming off a three round fight with Mario Aguilar, taking it all the way to the judges to win by decision. Flores (5-3) having qualified for a shot at the belt in WXC23, plans to reclaim his last lost at WXC26 against undefeated Deven Brown. Graham (4-2) a very solid and strong striker to face Flores a seasoned wrestler should make for a great 3 round battle.

We have the Men’s Flyweight Title on the line between Taylor’s Challenger Michael Gonzales and Detroit’s Champion Jesse Bazzi. Bazzi (5-2) putting his belt up for his first defend, looking to show that he has the reason for being the WXC champion. Coming off a fresh win over Michael Jordan at WXC 27 “FLAWLESS”, Bazzi wishes to keep momentum going as he plan to retain the gold. Gonzalez (4-3) plans to stop him dead in his tracks, wile winning his qualifier at WXC 26 he has been steering his path towards the belt. Both Fighters being very fast with explosive striking and are both extremely aggressive in the cage. Fans are going to have to see some replay after every round to catch up.

Last but not least we have the WXC welterweight qualifier between Detroit’s Mickey Marsack and Carleton’s Tyler Pitock. Marsack (7-1) with a Muay Thai back ground is looking to put the boot to his challenger as Marsack already has his eyes set at getting at the WXC champion Dequan Townsend. But, Pitock (9-6-1) stands in his way, Quick hands, power striking, strong chin and great ground work. Seems Marsack will have to keep his distance from Pitock in this fight. Still a great have to see fight!

Plus many more, 12 more to be exact! Bud light and Budweiser will be in attendance and a great night of fights is guaranteed!

WESTLAND GETS REAL WARRIORS 3/19/11

Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting “WXC” and it’s team has set its eye’s on Westland, MI for it’s break away show “Evolution” Saturday March 19^th, 2011 at the Westland Skate land.

Westland has not had the chance to see a WXC show, Says Jeff Pitock President. Westland’s size is similar to Taylor with many growing cities around it like Canton, Livonia, and Dearborn Heights. “I have put together cards for 3 different shows in Westland and none that will bring the show like WXC,” Says Vice President and Matchmaker Mike Pedenelli. Westland is a strong but silent area and WXC looks forward to bringing them the best Michigan Amateur MMA has to offer!

WXC intends to showcase local fight teams such as Scarred MMA and Stars and Strikes.

Stars and Strikes are one of WXC’s strongest teams. They house the Bantamweight Champion Derrick Mandell who will be defending his belt on this fight card. Mandell, 1-0 at the time, claimed victory and the belt as the under dog in WXC24 Halloween Havoc against Dom Sindone, the top bantamweight in the WXC and the state. Since that time Derrick has defended his belt and has proven that those who challenge him better come prepared. Now, with a record of 3-0 and ready to defend his belt for the second time, Westland will have the chance to see a Mandell secure his spot among the upcoming fighters in Michigan Mixed Martial Arts.

Other fighters, such as Dequan Townsend the Welterweight champion and Meech Graham the Featherweight Champion, will be putting up the WXC gold and letting Westland fans know why WXC is the show to see. WXC Evolution will be the organization’s 28^th show and the beginning of the Amateur World Championship Tour which WXC intends to launch in late April.

WXC Evolution will also showcase the return of Tori Music, the ex-ladies champion, who could not fight in the January 29^th Night of Champions 2 event because of an injury. After relinquishing her Bantamweight belt to Tasha Moore, she is now in pursuit of the WXC Ladies Flyweight belt. Three other ladies will be fighting on this card which WXC plans to release two weeks prior to event.

This weekend Taylor, Michigan is about to see one of the most unique main events in Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting (WXC) history. Mike Pedenelli has a reputation for making fight cards that can only be described as masterful, however; this time he has out done even himself. Deven “Bad News” Brown, who has quickly become known throughout the state of Michigan, has beaten and banged his way to a flawless record of 10 wins and 0 losses. Still, skeptics question Brown’s fighting abilities and wish to see him battle a fighter they consider to be of equal skill. Match maker Mike Pedenelli has arranged just that and spectators should be prepared to witness a three round test of Brown’s skills delivered by fighter Kyle Lingg who holds a record of 9 wins and 0 losses carrying 3 belts in 3 different weight classes. This weekend, these two skillful and undefeated fighters will battle it out to protect their undefeated records hence the event being named WXC27 FLAWLESS.

Brown, a young wrestler from Carleton, MI, graduated from Airport High School as one of the state’s top wrestlers. Brown began working with WXC in mid 2009 when the company operated under the name Michigan Xtreme Cagefighting. “He came in ready to play the game,” said WXC President Jeff Pitock. Further, Pitock says “Brown has been a headliner since day two, he is one of the most exciting fighters to see from the walk out to the cage. His fan base is incredible and their energy makes the atmosphere electric.” His top supporter and mother, referred to as “Momma Brown” by family and friends, is fighting a grueling battle with cancer. When asked about being proud of her son, she laughed and replied, “He’s bad news! Deven has been a champion in my life since day one, and it’s only fitting that he shows that in the cage. My son is destined for greatness! He has nothing to prove to me, I know what he will become and what he can do with his Mixed Martial Arts career.” Brown responded to his mothers statement saying, “My mother is my biggest fan and I hers! We make a great team!”

Brown discussed the many challenges he faces while working to become a top professional athlete. Brown acknowledges the stress related to his mother’s illness, maintaining a job, and keeping up with his intense training schedule. Brown says that his teammates give his top of the line support and his mother’s strength and determination to fight inspires and motivates him to keep pressing forward. “I intend to help Brown reach his goals,” says WXC President Jeff Pitock. “The Brown Family have been a huge addition to WXC. I have talked with Deven and we have set a plan on how and when he plans to go pro.”

Deven has blown through some of WXC’s top Featherweights and now lightweights. However, this weekend he will face new comer and Ohio’s top Lightweight Kyle Lingg. Lingg with a record of 9 wins and 0 losses carrying 3 belts in 3 different weigh classes. Lingg is entering the WXC with a reputation for being a powerful fighter and he has made it known that he plans to prove it Saturday February 26^th at the Gibraltar Trade Center. When asked what he thought of Deven Brown he replied, “Over rated! I don’t think that he is ready for a fighter like me.”

Lingg is one of Ohio’s most renowned up and coming fighter. With immense fan base and state wide support, Lingg plans to make a splash in Michigan Mixed Martial Arts and that road starts with Deven Brown. Fighting for some of the top promotion’s in the state of Ohio, Lingg has been tested, fought some high record fighters, and is on his way to becoming a belt collector. This weekend is all about the gold as the WXC Lightweight championship Belt goes up after being vacated by William Woodford who has taken his career to the next level by going Pro as of February 26^th.

WXC says, forget the boyfriend on valentines day, It's a Lady Fight!

President Jeff Pitock and Vice President Mike Pedenelli have been working very aggressive at making Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting's (WXC) ladies program one of a kind! We want or ladies program to be just as good as the men's, Said Pitock. I am working tireless hours calling all over Michigan and Ohio to let every lady fighter know WXC is where it's at, Said VP/Matchmaker Mike Pedenelli.

WXC has had one to three lady fights on the last five shows with one lady title fight scheduled for February 26th at Taylor's Gibraltar Trade Center between Katie Dihle referred to as Katie "Deuce...Deuce". Making her way five hours from Alpena, MI with a 3-0 record and a well trained back ground to challenge WXC's new top girl and Champion Tasha "Bad Mama Jama" Moore hailing out of Detroit, MI with a great record of 4-2, training out of Team Tubbs and Southeast Fight Club.

A girl Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight brings a WOW to any fight card and mixes it up. Truth be told the fans love it a lot!

"WXC has been a great platform for the females to get great exposure and tested, and they've proven that they're great athletes also," said WXC's President Jeff Pitock. "there are good female fighters out there. Are there more men? Of course. There are more male fighters than female fighters. But there are great female fighters out there that no one knows about. "We're going to scour the earth in our Amateur World Champion Tour to find the best Amateur Female fighters," Pedenelli said. "Then we're going to start a 125-pound weight division soon and i can't wait." With ex-champion Tori Music vacating the ladies 135lb belt due to dropping down a weight class, she is a tuff runner for the lades 125lb division.

Night of Champions 2 - January 29th in Southgate set the pace for the year to come for Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting (WXC). A sold out show and some of the most elite fights in the regen on that card its going to be hard for Matchmaker and Vice President Mike Pedenelli to beat his masterpiece. Having a gleams at the upcoming card for February 26th in Taylor, MI. You'd think he's not to far off.

Looking at the poster from WXC's February 26th show "FLAWLESS", We see something that stands out. Carleton's (10-0) Deven Brown vs. new comer from Ohio (9-0) Kyle Lingg both having FLAWLESS records, In the words of Pete Trevino "Someones O's got to go". Pedenelli said, this fight is going to be one to see, both men are the bad boy in there respected areas. This is shaping up to becoming the one hell of a Main Event for February 26th.
